Rae states that being creative kept her the most positive in dark times “There were many times that life tried to completely destroy me but the ability to design and turn that pain into a work of art was my ultimate lifesaver. It’s like yeah that experience wasn’t the best but let me turn it around by making it into something that brings a smile to someone else’s face going through the same thing. I love making people feel good about themselves.”
In August 2019, she released the first two chapters to her book The Love Struck Diaries. The book is based on stories from her life and was written to not only free her but others who can relate.
